I scrub up well!

Well, i used the new body scrub and facial scrub and i can safely say.. that the body scrub was AMAZING! and smelt delicious too! Bearing in mind, i also used an exfoliating glove so i was scrubbing a lot, but it left my skin feeling so smooth and soft. I 100% recommend it if you haven't got the money to get something a bit more expensive. I can assure you, it works just as good.. & it's HOT PINK! :)
As for the facial scrub, i can't really say at this stage, as i always allow up to a week to see a difference, i have used it every night religiously and i know you shouldn't scrub your face everyday, so i have stopped today and am going to scrub again at the end of the week. So, I'll keep you updated!

Bought a luuuuurvely grey matte nail varnish yesterday from Rimmel, i think. Will post photo's and tell you what i think about it on my next post.

Keep a look out :)

P.s, I'm re-vamping my blog tonight, if i can find out how to do it, so you have been warned! x

Make your own facial scrub

Before i purchased the Raspberry kiss body scrub and the Tesco's own facial scrub, i was making my own.. haha, yes it sounds strange, but i think it works better than any other one i have ever bought, so far.

So, ready to learn something new?

All you need is;

♡ A flannel
♡ Cotton pads
♡ Sugar
♡ Lemon juice / or a lemon to squeeze.

Now first of all, you need to soak the flannel in hot water (as hot as you can put on your face) ring the flannel out so it doesn't drip anywhere and place it all over your face. (This will open up your pores).

Next, take one cotton pad and soak it in the lemon juice, or squeeze the lemon over the pad until it is soaked through. Be sure to get rid of the excess juice so it's just damp.

You then need to get your sugar and put a penny size amount on the cotton pad. What i do is, fold the cotton pad in half and open it again so it spreads out all over the pad.

Now all you need to do is place the pad on your face and scrub in circular motions all over your face.

Once done, you will notice you have some excess sugar on your face, all you need to do is rinse your face with warm water and then pat your face dry with a soft towel.

There you have it, your face is now soft and clean from dirt :)

Please leave feedback if you can, thankyou!

Scrub Away!

I've just been out and about, shopping in the rain (yet again) looking for something half decent for my skin. I've been getting dryer skin lately, because the weather is changing and the wind is harsh on my skin.

I have a mixture of different skin types, i have oily on my T-zone but everywhere else is bone dry! So it's hard to find something that i can put on my face that deals with both skin types at once. When i find that, i will be sure to let you know!

So, today i found a REALLY nice smelling body scrub, it's in Raspberry and from the treaclemoon collection, it's bright pink and girly, and it's also not tested on animals. It has a little story on the back which i found quite funny, and it looks great in a girls bathroom :) I haven't yet tried it, so i will let you know what it's like later on.

I then also found, Tesco's own Clear Skin Purifying Facial Scrub, it was about £2, i know it's cheap, but if it does the trick then i won't complain. I've been wanting a facial scrub for ages but always forgot to buy one when i was in a store. So, i will also let you know how this goes.

Thanks for reading :)

Sparkly Things!

I ordered 80, yes, 80! Mini glitter eyeshadows, every colour you could think of, i have!

I can now do so many more creative looks now, i have a lot of Barry M Dazzle Dusts, but they don't do almost half the colours i have in my new addition to my make-up kit!

Trouble is, i don't know where to put them all as they are all in individual pots, just like the Dazzle Dusts.

Here are the first 8 that i picked up;

It's not very clear on the colours as it was just taken on my iPhone, but you get the idea.
I have this AMAZING glitter gold one that i just know i will be using a LOT!

Will post more soon!

Cherry Lips!

Instead of Luscious Red Lips, i decided to do a Cherry coloured lip tutorial, so here it is..

First, i applied my foundation, concealer and powder to the whole of my face ( including lips ). I then applied my usual make-up look to my eyes, with a little eyeliner in the outer corners of my eyes and a splash of mascara on my lashes. I always do my lips last, i don't know why, i just like to work down the face, rather than scattered about.

I then grabbed my Cherry coloured lip liner from Barry M (you can get this colour anywhere! it doesn't have to be Barry M.)

I then started to line the top part of my lips ( the cupids bow ) to enhance the points, you can shape them to whatever you prefer, i just like to stick to my natural lip shape. The good thing about applying foundation all over the lip area, is that it blends your lips into your skin, so you can have what ever shape lip you desire.

After applying the lip liner just to the cupids bow, i then went along the bottom of my bottom lip which is where you can choose how big you want it, again i just went along my original lip line, but you can make it look larger by lining just below your natural lip line.

Once you have the top and bottom main parts lined, all you have to do now is line to the edge of the lip along the natural part if your going to do your lips like i have.

All i did after was colour the whole lip with the pencil to help make the lip colour stay longer than a smudgy lipstick. You can do this before you apply your lipstick to help maintain the colour.

Using lip liner to colour the whole lip also gives a matte finish if your not a big fan of shiney, shimmery, or glossy lipsticks.

I hope this helps, please leave feedback so i know what you all think!

Luscious Lips..

I've been a fan of red lips for a while, yet i haven't been brave enough to wear it.
I never have an outfit that i think will suit it. It's a NIGHTMARE.
But.. i have seen lots and lots of women wearing it lately with outfits that really don't match, it's more of a vintage look that has hit the shops this year, with peach/cream/brown neutral clothes and well suited hair.

The best look you can do with the perfectly lined red lips, is to compliment the eyes by applying a simple, vintage-look liner along the lashes on the top lid with a slight flick at the ends. The secret to bright lips is to have a neutral eye, otherwise you will look over-done and it just doesn't look nice.

I'll post a picture or video of my own way of doing the classic red lip, later on.
I have had troubles with the internet AGAIN!! Arghhh.

About Me..

My name is Jessica Wyatt, i'm 18 and i live in Thetford.

I studied Theatrical and Media make-up artistry level 3 diploma at City College Norwich. Where i studied intensively for 1 year with many opportunities per week to go out and grab as much work experience as possible.
I have worked with a number of different ages, skin colours, skin types etc so i never find myself confused or lost during a make-over that can be challenging.

This page is mainly to attract customers that i cannot yet reach to without transport, i live locally in Thetford so i can easily visit people's homes to do their make-overs etc. I should be mobile within the next month for those of you who live further away.

I originally wanted to design this blog for the people already following me on Facebook and to help them with tips, tricks etc that will be starting up shortly.
I really hope you all will enjoy reading this, as much as i will enjoy updating this page.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)
